Permanent Cosmetics

Many clients have a challenging time navigating through all the terms for permanent cosmetics.  With eyebrows being the most sought after choice, and with so many options to choose from, it can be extremely confusing.   Marie can help you make the best decision that will give you the best look, best results and the most longevity for your new brows!  She starts by evaluating your skin and explaining the best option as it relates to your anatomy, taking into consideration skin integrity, lifestyle, medications, illness, amount of natural hair present or the best option for when there is no hair at all.  Many factors need to be taken into consideration for a beautiful new set of eyebrows that can best be determined by someone with Marie’s experience and knowledge.  Marie is a Certified Aesthetic Nurse, Board certified by both the American Academy of Micropigmentation and the American Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.

The trend of Microblading (manual tattooed eyebrows) was once very popular and now sometimes, depending on the condition of your skin, a machine is used to reinforce or “shade” in microbladed brows as it causes less trauma to the skin.  Not everyone can or should be microbladed, as that process may not offer the best result for your skin. Sometimes the best method would be a Powdered Brow or Shaded Brow because fragile skin cannot be microbladed or, an Ombré Brow, where the beginning of the brow is not as dark as the tail of the brow.  At times, the best option might be a Blade & Shade, which is when both a manual tool and machine are used or Fluffy Brows (also called Microfeathering) where the hair strokes are whispy.

Everyone can have beautiful new brows but the

techniques used on each individual has to be specific to them.

As you can see, there are numerous options available when it comes to eyebrows.  As you will be altering your appearance permanently, you need to make sure to do research and select a qualified professional in this field.  Marie is uniquely qualified and has multiple Board certifications and the experience to explain the best option based on your skin type, which will give you the best result.

Permanent Cosmetics or “permanent makeup” (Micropigmentation), Microblading & Tattooing is a procedure where color is implanted in the skin to enhance or restore skin color or simulate hair. The look is natural and is tailored for each individual’s need. Both men and women will be amazed how their self-esteem and confidence will be restored in just one visit.

Some reasons to consider Microblading / Micropigmentation:

  • Busy hectic lifestyle with little time or no time to fuss

  • Active outdoor or exercise activities

  • Thinning or loss of hair (alopecia) due to aging, tweezing or chemotherapy

  • Visual impairments or dexterity difficulties making it hard to apply makeup

  • Allergies, sensitivities and contact wearers

  • Post surgical scaring (breasts) or hairline (brows and scalp)

  • Cleft lip or uneven lips

Using both artistry and medical techniques, be rest assured that all procedures performed are done under the strictest safety standards medically recommended and only disposable tools, equipment and pigments are used. Topical anesthetics are available to facilitate comfort during your procedure. Pre-procedure information is provided during your consultation and after care instructions and supplies are provided to promote a speedy recovery.

Eyebrows - Marie Jenkinson, RN (formerly Marie Barbuto), is a skilled practitioner and Certified Aesthetic Nurse, who uses the latest techniques to create natural looking eyebrows. Microblading (also known as eyebrow embroidery, feathering, etching) is a  hair stroke technique. It actually looks as if you have grown the hair back. We also use various other techniques such as shading, powder, or Ombré to provide a softer natural look.

People suffering from hair loss, whether a medical issue (chemotherapy treatment) or any other condition that causes hair loss (aging process) will benefit greatly from eyebrow tattooing. For those who simply want their eyebrows enhanced (more arched, made thicker or longer) to set the framework of your face, you will love your new look!

All procedures are done in the strictest, cleanest environment. Topical anesthetics are used to insure comfort during the procedure; the color is created specifically for you. Post care instructions are thoroughly explained and home care supplies are provided.  Initially, the brows will appear darker, but will fade slightly in a few weeks. The results can last anywhere from 1-3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, sun exposure, the chemicals used in your creams and beauty products (which can possibly fade the brow pigment).

So what are you waiting for? If you have read this far, you are looking to have

beautiful natural looking brows and now you can!

Lash Enhancement - Imagine having the look of very full and lush lashes. Pigment is applied at the base and in between the lash line to give the appearance thickness to the lashes. This is a very subtle application with a very noticeable difference. The real beauty is – it never comes off!

Eyeliner - Eyeliner can be applied in many different ways, from a soft natural enhancement to a more dramatic and defined line. Have it applied perfectly and permanently and never have to put on eyeliner again. Great for those who have dry eyes, allergies, hay fever, contact wearers, visual impairments, unsteady hands or people on the go!

Lip Liner - Permanent lip liner is the perfect solution for correcting uneven lips, adding fullness or giving the mouth more definition. As age sets in, lips reduce in size and with lip tattooing, they will appear fuller which will give a more youthful appearance. It also minimizes the appearance of wrinkles.

Full Lip Color - If you would like to forget about putting on lipstick all together, then full lip color can be applied in a natural hue, blush, tinted or a more vivid color. Imagine, no more smudging, smearing or bleeding of color.

Beauty Mark- People have many personal reasons for enhancing beauty marks. In the designated area, a small, naturally colored mark is tattooed to replicate the look of a beauty mark.
